Kassandra Stephenson
VIC Choice Collective Facilitator

“I’m curious and love working with people. I stay present and aim to support stories that uplift and empower.”

I chose to work in the disability sector because I wanted to do something meaningful that truly makes a difference. About five years ago, I started working as a support worker, and the role quickly gave me a strong sense of connection and purpose. Being part of the team at Enliven Community allows me to keep learning, developing new skills and continuing to grow in a supportive environment.

Career highlight:
A unique career highlight for me was hosting a workshop at the Aotearoa New Zealand Community Housing Conference. It was an experience that challenged me and helped me grow.

Outside of work:
I love exploring new places, especially quiet waterfalls and forests. I’m up for joining a sports team for the laughs, playing basketball with my nephew and catching a good comedy show or festival.

What super-power would you want?
I’d choose teleportation. Hugging my dad in an instant, spending a weekend in Tahiti, skipping Melbourne traffic or simply being there when someone needs me – it would genuinely increase my happiness. I’d like to think I’d never be late again… but let’s be honest.
